GRESB is a powerhouse in the sustainability assessment world. After recognizing a change in expectations of real asset investments, GRESB was started in 2009 to allow institutional investors to have a third-party assessment of environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance for their investment process.
Since then, GRESB has grown to benchmark 850 companies and funds, accounting for $3.7T in assets under management, in 2017. GRESB results are so essential to the investment and asset management industries that now performance-based loan margins are based on GRESB performance.
“You wouldn’t say no to an investor who asks for your financial data, so why would you say no to an investor who asks for nonfinancial data that ultimately impacts their decision-making processes?”
So, it should be no wonder that the woman behind GRESB’s real estate branch is a powerhouse in the field.
Meet Roxana Isaiu, Director of Real Estate at GRESB, and hear her story.
