Boston Properties’ technology- and data-driven ESG efforts are led by Ben Myers, Director of Sustainability, who is constantly looking for the best sustainability practices to incorporate into the companies’ strategy. According to Ben, “Institutional investors, the community, our customers, and even our own employees wanted the company to have a firm stance in environmental social performance.” So, he made that happen.

Ben took on his role with the goal of developing a culture of sustainability leadership, from the boardroom to the boiler room. From incorporating science-based targets, to following the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, to exceeding reduction goals, to numerous awards and recognition for its ESG leadership, Boston Properties’ Sustainability Team has been sure to make Ben’s goal a reality.

“I think about sustainability as long-term prosperity, not only for the organization, but for the communities where we’re involved.”
